We Gladly Accept: 

  • Clothing in new or nearly new condition
  • Jewelry 
  • Linens 
  • Housewares, clean and in very good condition 
  • Antiques & Collectibles 
  • Small appliances, clean and in full working order 
  • Puzzles and games that are unused 
  • Books (no textbooks) 
  • Cassette tapes, VCR tapes, DVDs & CDs (commercially recorded only)

Sorry, We Cannot Accept: 

  • Dirty, damaged, mildewed, or excessively worn items
  • Furniture
  • Children's toys 
  • Baby strollers, cribs, or car seats 
  • Very large items, such as artificial Christmas Trees
  • Computers 
  • Stereo equipment or TVs 
  • Pulse, cordless, or nonworking phones 
  • Typewriters or word processors 
  • Garage Sale leftovers

Donations are taken at the blue side door 10am-4pm Monday—Saturday. We now accept donations every day we're open, even the first 10 days! All donations are tax-deductible

The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop helps the community by selling high quality items to the public and using the proceeds to aid residents in the Ann Arbor area. You can help in our effort by screening your donations and bringing only items we can resell.

For items we are unable to accept, we suggest you contact: ReUse Center/662-6288, Kiwanis/665-1450, or the Salvation Army/668-8353 We appreciate your cooperation in bringing us only items that you would buy. We regret we must refuse items we cannot resell.
